Shogun 2: Total War Enters Battle This March
Today, Sega revealed the upcoming turn-based strategy title will launch "globally" on March 15, 2011. The first game in the Total War series hit the PC in 2000 with the original Shogun: Total War. Eleven years later, developer The Creative Assembly brings players back to 16th century Japan after making a few stops in Rome, the medieval era, and the age of Napoleon.
Shogun 2: Total War takes place during the aftermath of the Onin War, a ten year battle (approximately) during the Muromachi period in Japan where the Ashikaga shogunate (a.k.a. the bakufu) fell apart. It was a time that many scholars refer to as a state of "Waring Warlords."
Now, with the game around the corner, one of those warlords is you, provided you have the proper weaponry equipped... and by that I mean your PC can actually run the game.

I'm waiting for a few patches to come out before I buy Shogun 2. While Creative Assembly often provides a great product (after a few patches), the first few versions are glitchy and bud ridden. :\
