"sort of support dedicated servers" So does that mean no LAN play?

I have no problem buying two copies (one for my son) as long as they include LAN play. We attend two LANs one with 12+ players and another with 40+ and LAN play is a must. These devs/publishers need to wake up and realize LAN play is not dead and still a required feature. Looking at you MW2 which many of us LAN gamers didn't buy.

Despite what previous posters say, there *IS* LAN play. No dedicated server, though. Only listen servers on LAN. Which is better than nothing, yeah, but not good enough given what they promised and their stupid "dedicated servers!" T-shirts.
We need to stop supporting these idiot companies that give us no LAN support and limited or no dedicated servers (DICE, Acti drones like Treyarch or even Blizzard) and keep supporting the ones that do (hey there, Valve!)-
You have to have a route to the Internet in order to get to the authentication servers. That isn't always so feasible for LAN parties (yes, they still exist). Every QuakeCon gets hit by an Internet outage that means people can't play many Steam multiplayer games because they can't get to the auth servers.
