Halo: Reach 'Noble Map Pack' Coming Nov. 30

Bungie has revealed details on the first downloadable content headed to Halo: Reach, which will add three new maps to the game's competitive multiplayer modes.

The "Noble Map Pack" is set to be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace on November 30, at an asking price of 800MS Points ($10). The content will also add an additional 250 achievement points to Halo: Reach, which explains a lot.

Noble's three new environments are "Anchor 9," a 2-8 player map that takes place on a UNSC space station dry-dock; "Tempest," an 8-16 player abandoned shoreline facility area with Forerunner technology lining its two symmetrical bases; and "Breakpoint," a series of modular archaeological labs, atop an icy precipice for 8-16 players.

Bungie has also kicked off a map creation contest for its community, dubbed the "Forgetacular Map Design Contest." Details for the competition can be found on a dedicated blog post featured at Bungie.net.

[Ed. Note: The "Noble Map Pack" will launch on November 30, not on November 20 as originally listed]

Meh, at least its 10 bucks and not 15 with some recycled maps.

I still think the game came with few to many maps.

Yea same here, but i might wait to hear from friends to see if the maps are worth buying.

Also i meant to say that the game didn't come with enough maps.

The Halo map packs are always good. Money well spent. Day one for me too.
Or one could wait and get them for free when they release the second map pack.

Yeah, while I call my friends complete idiots everyday for wasting $10 on a few maps.

You guys have to remember, these packs are mostly for people who play Halo constatnly, for years. For players like us, $10 for 3 maps is not a lot of money, considering how much time we will spend playing them.

For more casual players, it isn't the most exciting news, I agree.

And no, Halo map packs no longer go free after time... Microsoft put a stop to that :(
