The Doors Queued Up as First Rock Band 3 DLC

7
On October 26, the same day Rock Band 3 is released in the US, twelve tracks from The Doors will be available as DLC. Additionally, three tracks will be free for the first week of the game's release.

Gamers can snag "Light My Fire", "Riders on the Storm", and "Touch Me" for free between October 26 and November 1 through the in-game Music Store. All three tracks will also support Pro Guitar and Pro Bass, which will not be available for all DLC songs and will cost extra when normally included.

The remaining nine tracks, which do not support Pro Guitar/Bass, but do support Pro Drums and Pro Keys (when applicable), are:

  • "Hello, I Love You"
  • "L.A. Woman"
  • "Love Her Madly"
  • "Love Me Two Times"
  • "Peace Frog"
  • "People Are Strange"
  • "Roadhouse Blues"
  • "Soul Kitchen"
  • "The Crystal Ship"
Beginning on November 2, the three-pack and nine-pack will disappear and the songs will be available as singles or as a twelve-pack. The song "Break On Through (To the Other Side)" by The Doors is included on the Rock Band 3 on-disc soundtrack.

Pricing for the various packs and songs was not included in the announcement, but should be similar to pricing for other Rock Band DLC. LEGO Rock Band support was also not included, but I'm guessing we'll get this information closer to October 26.

Peace Frog AND People are Strange. A good way to launch a games DLC lineup!

i'd be all over Spanish Caravan and Waiting for the Sun. but i'll take what i can get. Riders on the Storm was actually the very first 'real' song i tried learning on guitar back in the day.
