Gothic 4 is coming out October 19th, not this upcoming week.

  Only in North America on the 19th. It gets released this week for the rest of the world.

  I think I will be safe and find it one way or another. I already pre ordered it in D2D damn it, will re found it and go Steam if this is the case with D2D being late.

      Actually in Europe they are even started the activation servers today to allow people to play earlier because some retailers broke the street date.

      That's fine. Cancelled and New Vegas ordered instead. Now I guess I'll get to see the reviews for Gothic 4 instead of rolling the dice on quality.

        If by Gothic 4 you mean Arcania: Gothic 4, then I played a demo of that on the Xbox 260, and it was mediocre at best. The voice acting was okay, but the character models sucked, the music wasn't anything special, and the graphics could be good, but I couldn't due to the horrible resolution. I have to say, though, that I realyl liked their inventory system. It was simple, but intuitive. However, I see myself enjoying Fallout: New Vegas more. I might pick up Gothic 4 when it's down to 19.99 or so.*
        
        *DISCLAIMER: It is in all probability possible that the demo I tried was indeed NOT the Gothic 4 everyone here has mentioned, but I assume that it is. It is also likely that my experience is due to the fact that it was a port from the PC onto the Xbox 360, thereby reducing the fluidity and graphical fidelity by many factors.

        Yeah, you're talking about the right one. I'm a sucker for buggy sprawling medieval worlds, but if the game's going up against New Vegas, well, New Vegas wins with me. I'm a little irritated that they screwed up their logistics, although looking at the link provided above it seems more like they knew they were going to miss the NA date and didn't really mind much.
