Direct2Drive Gets Collector's Version of Fallout: New Vegas with Digital Novel and More
This digital collector's edition is a D2D exclusive and will sell for $5 more than the standard edition. It will include "All Roads, the 48-page digital graphic novel that was created in conjunction with Dark Horse comics," which "introduces the world of New Vegas, a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis, and a tells an intriguing tale of loyalty and violence that leads right up to the beginning of the game."
Additionally, players will get the Tribal Pack, a collection of "special weapons such as throwing spears, armor, a machete and rare venom doses." Direct2Drive will also sell the standard version of the game, but like all copies of New Vegas, it will require Steam to install and play.
Direct2Drive, beginning with Modern Warfare 2, originally refused to sell games that use Steamworks, but eventually gave in. D2D now sells MW2 and other Steamworks titles, including Mafia II and Civilization V. How do you feel about D2D getting the exclusive on the Digital Collector's Edition, which will run through Steam anyway?

That dosent seem like a particularly good deal for $5 more. Some reskinned DLC weapons and a PDF that will be online minutes after release.
