Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Won't Launch with Online Co-op on PC and PS3
Square Enix has yet to respond to our requests for comment regarding the timing of a PS3 and PC update to the game, post-launch. We're also investigating the validity of comments made in this post regarding the updates.
[Original] As was the case when it launched on the Xbox 360 in August, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will not include online co-op when it hits the PS3 and PC next week.
Originally slated to bring online modes to the Xbox 360 version alongside the PC and PS3 release on September 28, developer Crystal Dynamics revealed, in a press release, the online fun for all versions of Lara's latest adventure has been delayed until "a later date."
Shacknews has contacted Crystal Dynamics for clarification on its definition of "a later date." Although the game was a pleasant surprise and we've been anticipating the, previously revealed, multiple downloadable content packs, we'd first prefer having the ability to take the action online.
[Thanks, Andrew]

What kinda crap is this? I wasted good money on this game expecting the multiplayer next week and they cannot even provide that. i should have never purchased this game. Online is what I and everyone was looking forward to with this game.

Hi, the multiplayer for the 360 is hitting next week but is regrettably delayed for the PS3. We're very sorry for the delay but we wanted to make sure the online co-op was as good as possible before putting it out there. We're giving out the first DLC pack (which has some great puzzles and combat) for free to thank everyone for their patience.
