[Update: 9:25pm] Microsoft has confirmed the bundle is in the works. Check our updated story for additional details.
[Original Story]Ars Technica is reporting a limited edition Halo: Reach Xbox 360 hardware bundle is in the works. The bundle--also spotted in an image by HaloReachTips.net--includes a silver "S Model" Xbox 360 console, 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers and a copy of Bungie's Spartan swansong, Halo: Reach. The bundle is likely to release alongside Halo: Reach, which flies onto retail shelves on September 14.
Adding fuel to the Halo-branded fire is a silver Xbox 360 controller spotted by E4G on an Xbox.com product page. (The product page has now been removed.)
With two Halo panels planned at Comic-Con 2010, we're likely to hear if the rumored bundle is true very soon. We will note, however, that in the case of Halo and Xbox bundles historyoftenrepeatsitself.
