Blacklight: Tango Down now Available on PC [Update]

[Update: 12:15pm] An Ignition representative tells Shacknews that Blacklight: Tango Down will be available on Steam, Direct2Drive and Impulse at some point today.

[Original Story] Blacklight: Tango Down, the online-only first-person shooter from developer Zombie Studios, is now available for purchase and download on PC via Microsoft's Games for Windows Live platform [via BigDownload].

Originally released on Xbox Live Arcade last week, the near-future themed shooter is priced at $14.99 (or 1200MS Points). Published by Ignition Entertainment, the shooter includes 12 multiplayer maps and support for up to 16 players as well as four co-op maps.

  There is a demo on the Xbox 360, I haven't heard anything abouta PC demo, but it would make sense for them to put one out their, considering this is their first major multi-platform release that anyone has heard of (and no, that SAW game does not count).

    Also, you should all know that if you do own a xbox 360, they give you one hour full access to the online multiplayer, meaning that you can play through as though you owned the game, getting unlocks and what-not. But, once that time is up, you can't play anymore until you buy.

        Yeah, I don't think playing on the PC with make it control any better, but there is a campy futuristic feel to it that I really like, but I think most people go into this having full-game expectations (which is understandable considering the screenshots that were taken for the game) and then are let down because of its wonky controls and lack of an install base. I personally think that this could become some sort of cult phenomenon if Zombie makes sure to put out patches and what not. Good luck and have fun.
