Men of War: Assault Squad Due This Year
Referred to as both a "sequel" and "expansion pack" by 1C Company in today's announcement, Assault Squad brings a new cooperative skirmish mode to the series along with the ability to play as Japan, "increased realism and accessibility" said to deliver "an intense new WW2 spectacle with almost limitless replayability."
In all, players will be able to take control of five different national armies, specifically those of Russia, Germany, USA, Commonwealth, and Japan, with players able to "maneuver units using the directional keys, rather than pointing and clicking."
For a taste of the strategy series, hit up FileShack for demos of both Men of War and its first standalone expansion-sequel Men of War: Red Tide. For more on Assault Squad, simply read on--you'll find 1C's breakdown of the expansion just below:

Sure. CoH follows right behind these two =)
CoH is like the DoD of RTS wargames. Strives in realism only to a certain degree in order to build a plausible scenario. But it's still the same ol tried-and-true RTS gameplay. MoW is like Red Orchestra or RTS wargames. Only a pure simulation would take it further, but it wouldn't necessarily be as much fun.-
Exactly...good analogy. CoH is a good game, but it's a totally different style of RTS.
MoW has mode where one team sets up to defend a series of capture points, and the other attacks. Then the sides swap and do it again. Most points wins. Best game mode ever...it's extremely fun and challenging vs. good players. Plus, they've done a good job at trying to remove cheesy tactics (at first you could hide flamethrower men in bushes everywhere and they were really cheap and deadly...now you can't)
I haven't played in a while, but I keep thinking about the game and I wanna start up again.
