Dead Space 2 Screenshots Squelch Out

A round of Dead Space 2 screenshots has risen, giving a look at star Isaac's natty new threads and the various monstrosities awaiting the poor chap in the sc-fi horror sequel.

Developer and series creator Visceral Games has said it is "extremely focused on delivering a game that's even better than the original," which apparently necessitates giving the previously-mute Isaac a makeover and a voice then letting him pin enemies to the walls with his Javelin Gun then incinerate them. Fair enough.

Published by EA, Dead Space 2 is due out in 2011, before March 31, for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. While a PC release was once uncertain, it has now been confirmed.

Now that I they've confirmed a PC release, I definitely pre-ordered this.

  SWEETNESS. I can't wait for this, the first one ROCKED and this one is looking like it should be great as well. I just hope that they don't recycle the same ol' interiors, and some more exterior moments (unless you're on a ship again, then that wouldn't make any sense). I can't wait to get back in and slice me up some necromorphs!

  mmm I'm hoping 3d vision works better with DS2. Shadows had to be turned off in the first one to be playable, and this is a game that needs shadows.
