Mass Effect 2 'Overlord' DLC Coming in June
Taking place on a single planet, the Overlord mission arc will see Sherpard and the gang investigating experiments on Geth and humans intended to create a hybrid being. The Hammerhead hover-tank from the Firewalker DLC will be used to navigate the hub.
Overlord will reportedly cost 560 Microsoft Points ($7) and offer "about two and a half hours of content," though apparently no further weapons or companion characters.
[Update - 11:30am CST] BioWare has confirmed that the Overlord DLC will indeed hit in June at 560 Microsoft Points / $7, packing "five new areas and two new achievements."

I loved ME:2, but I doubt I'll be buying this. I love that developers are still creating content, but by the time most of it comes out I've already moved on to other games. I'd rather they spend a couple extra months on development and release a "fuller" game with more content than nickle and dime me months after the release for a game I was done with 3 months ago.

I just have a horrendous opinion of DLC value. If it takes a few developers a few months and lasts an hour, I don't think it should cost a ninth as much as a game dozens of times the length, made by a team of hundreds over years. Yes, less people will buy it, but part of that is due to the cost, and the DLC shouldn't be the major revenue generation as much as a reason to buy the game after an extended period of time.

It sucks for the devs.
If they make DLC too quickly, they're accused of withholding it from release just to squeeze an extra penny out of everyone.
If they make it too late, they're accused of not supporting the game.
They really can't win.
As for this specific instance: I'm on my 2nd playthrough of ME2 now... Even if I'm not done with it by the time this comes out, $7 is more than I'm willing to spend on such a thing.
