EA: Battlefield 1943 Due on PC 'Soon'

21
The long-coming PC release of Battlefield 1943 is coming "soon," publisher Electronic Arts recently affirmed whilst trumpeting console sales of the downloadable effort.

Priced at $15, the multiplayer-only shooter hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in July 2009, with the PC version then expected to arrive in September. Later on, developer DICE pushed the PC release into 2010 so that it could "ensure the features and functionality that PC players have come to expect from Battlefield on PC are not missing."

Since then, DICE has released Battlefield: Bad Company 2--a full-fledged entry in the franchise, complete with both single-player and multiplayer modes--so it will be interesting to see how a multiplayer-only entry with four maps will be received.

Same. Some of my fondest gaming memories are of playing those sprawling Pacific maps in Battlefield 1942.

Tough call, considering BC2 could be had for $20 this past weekend.

EA Store with a coupon code. Deal is over, though. I picked up Dragon Age Awakening for $20.

Wait, no, my mistake. The coupon code ends on April 9, but the Bad Company 2 promo discount expired. The coupon code will still net you $20 off of any game $40 or more.

              Code: PAXEAST842

My Dragon Age Awakening was a physical copy, btw. Free FedEx 2nd Day Air shipping.
