Paid Mass Effect 2 DLC Arrives April 6

Having previously said that not all of Mass Effect 2 downloadable add-ons would be free, developer BioWare has informed Joystiq that the first paid bit of DLC will hit April 6.

According to the site, the add-on, "Kasumi's Stolen Memory," brings another party member to the sci-fi shooter-RPG, along with the Locust SMG weapon, a "flash-bang grenade loyalty power," and a new mission said to last "about an hour and a half."

As for how much PC and Xbox 360 players will need to pay for the content, BioWare has yet to decide, noting that it's still engaged in "internal discussion" on the matter.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Not every game needs multiplayer, and ME2 is one of those games.

Yeah, multiplayer would ruin a game like ME2. It's hard to feel immersed in a story/character when you have a buddy or some random ass on the internet jumping up and down in the background during a cutscene or pretending to give head to an NPC that you are trying to have a conversation with.

Holy shit I just laughed my ass off at your comment. Nicely done.

Multiplayer in ME2 would never work. You need to pause the game far too frequently to ever make it work. I mean I suppose you would presumably have humans instead of CPU controlled characters as your teammates, but even so I would hate playing this game without being able to pause to assess a situation and determine the best powers to use.
