Blizzard: Still Targeting First Half of 2010 for StarCraft 2
Coming out of yesterday's BlizzCast, the official Blizzard podcast, Shacker yAak noticed that StarCraft II lead producer Chris Sigaty dropped some juicy information about the length of the current multiplayer beta and retail release plans.
During the podcast, which focused on the release of the beta, Sigaty revealed the following:
We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we're really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year... [for release.]
Blizzard had previously stated that the beta would run for around six months, which would have put the retail release of StarCraft II out of the first half of 2010. A three month beta would give Blizzard enough time to make changes based on feedback and have the game out the door before the first half of the year is through.
Then again, this is Blizzard. I'll believe it when I see it!

Hmmmm...does this mean that they could have a 2nd beta key hand out? I hope so...
Opt in like 6-7 Months ago and no key :(-
I'm going to get a lot of envy for this comment. I received TWO beta keys from Blizzard. So to answer your question at least two waves have been given out already. And just because I want you all to hate me more, I sold them both on ebay for 235$ and 212$ respectfully. I have no interest in even playing SC2. I do, however, like money.

"I sold them both on ebay for 235$ and 212$ respectfully"
Did you sell them with respect? Or did you perhaps mean "respectively"?
On a more related note, I've got a Beta key, been playing a fair bit. Getting my arse kicked most of the time. Blizz said there'd be a few waves as the beta went on though.
