More than mere fashion statements, each outfit carries a in-game bonus for gunslinging protagonist, John Marsten. The Savvy Merchant outfit would give Marsten a 50% discount at in-game stores, and the Deadly Assassin duds would decrease the cool-down time for the "Dead Eye" targeting ability. The Expert Hunter attire would enable Marsten to gather twice the normal spoils when hunting, but is doubly cool because of the stylish badger chapeau.
Only the outfit that receives the most votes will be included, so if you're pre-ordering from GameStop and have a preference, you can still head over and vote for your favorite until the promotion ends at 12:01 AM Central Time on February 15.
Red Dead Redemption comes out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 27.

replyI hope this game sucks because if its good I'll probably finally buy a console to play it. I really like westerns and decent ones are few and far between.
I don't understand why they don't give PC ports of this stuff. I know that "Piracy" is everyone's favorite reply, but I just don't buy that. The additional cost of making a PC version is easily offset by sales even if there is an obnoxiously high degree of piracy of a particular game.-
Rockstar games have always been a little "rocky" on the PC. Not having to hire all the people for a PC port saves a lot of cash and development time. There comes a time in every PC gamer's life to buy a console, embrace the change.

Its Rockstar, as far as I know everyone of their games has been ported to the PC thus far. It's only a matter of time for this one. And if GTA IV was any indication I'm sure it'll be a great port indeed.

Word. As a fan of westerns, no way I'm stepping foot into the wild, wild west without the ability to property defend myself: with a keyboard and mouse. Plenty of PC games to play until Rockstar (hopefully) ports it...

I'm still recovering from the Steam Holiday Sale. I estimate it'll take me till the end of July to finish all these new games I have now. So I've got plenty to hold me over.
