If you want to join in the reminiscing, Steam is now selling the original for a mere $5.

Aliens vs. Predator is due to arrive in February, with a premium 'Hunter Edition' offering such joys as a replica facehugger, AvP graphic novel and swanky sew-on patch.

This is one of the few shooters I want to play single player. Most everything else these days, I turn t multi first as single player has been getting repetitive to me. Any suggestions on other unique single player shooters?

From that developers walkthrough the Predator will use his sharpened senses to disable consoles in a marine base.

        That looked boring as hell.

probably would look boring if you prefer constant enemies type of whack-a-mole gameplay like MW and MW2. Another action game example, Gears of War, I didn't find too fun because it was run over there, enemies pop up, kill them, run over there, repeat until end of game. But if thats fun, why not just play multiplayer?

Far Cry 2 if you haven't played it. Nonlinear as far as I could tell, but I only played 2-3 hours. But shooters these days have run into a single player rut where it always comes off as "run over there, kill enemies, run over there, repeat". The innovative ideas are for some reason saved for games like GTA where the shooting system is hamfisted, in my opinion.
