Gran Turismo 5 Delayed in Japan

11
Polyphony Digital's driving simulator Gran Turismo 5 won't make its planned March 2010 release in Japan, publisher Sony Computer Entertainment confirmed today. The terse announcement did not include a new release window, but did offer an apology for the inconvenience. A playable "Time Trial" sample of the PlayStation 3 exclusive can be downloaded from the online PlayStation Store until January 25.

As for North America and Europe, Sony told CVG that the delay only applies to Japan, though that means little considering the most we have go on is word that, circa December 2009, Sony was targeting a summer 2010 release for North America.

That's just sad. Prologue has been out for like 2 years, and only RECENTLY they realised they should start playing catchup with Forza and include some actual physics and damage into the game.

Actual physics? Are you retarded? Gran Turismo has and probably will always be a racing sim. They were doing real driving physics before Forza even thought about existing. If they didn't have "actual physics", there would be nothing to the game except 3d car models.

I'm a 360/forza fan, but I give respect where respect is due. The only joke about gran turismo is the delay on getting 5 out and the lack of damage. But most people turn the damage off in forza anyways, so does damage REALLY matter?
