Why do we need famous live-action actors to voice characters in animated productions? They hire all of these people who are talented in their field, but this really isn't their field. It seems like a waste of money to me.

But seemingly not these actors, if the trailer is anything to go on. Their performances appear very convincing and appropriate to me, and look to lend a power and gravity to the game that you wouldn't normally find.
Whether you could achieve the same with only VO actors is another matter (i.e. yes, you could), but I think these guys are doing just fine. Fantastic even when compared to some other game voice talent...

Because their noticable and unique. There are thousands of singers around, but how many of them actually become famous and are entertaining? how many people go on shows like idol but end up nowhere? sure they can sing well but they dont have "it". These c list celebs from various scifi shows and tv are very noticable and add alot of flavour to the game.
