Forza Motorsport 3 has sold over one million copies since being released for Xbox 360 on October 7, developer Turn 10 declared today.

Turn 10's statistical swaggering continues with the boast that "the Forza community has collectively logged over 6.6 million man hours playing online in more than 64 million connected sessions while driving over 590 million miles," which for those who can only think in cosmic terms is apparently "more than three trips from the Earth to the Sun and back!"

The announcement coincides with today's launch of the Hot Holidays Car Pack downloadable content for 400 Microsoft Points ($5), containing ten of "the world's most anticipated super cars and purpose-built race cars of 2009 and 2010" as shown in these new screenshots and trailer. A free sample DLC offers the pack's 2010 Audi S4.

Turn 10 further revealed that another car pack will be released on January 12, 2010, with a breakdown of today's DLC and the accompanying trailer just below:

does anybody know for sure if you have to buy the dlc, then buy the cars in game with in-game money?? cos i have real money but damn if i run out of in-game money quickly!

may have to wait a bit and save up some cash online.

unless anybody out there wants to buy a puegeot206 off me for like a million credits? anybody? didnt think so.

Ya, you need in-game credits. In Forza2 I used to use the hiredriver thing to make cash while I was doing other stuff. Setup a endurance race, put it on easy, hire a 60% driver, start the race. Then watch a movie, make dinner, take a dump, whatever. 45 min later you got cash. Not sure if you can do that in Forza3 though, haven't had cash problems at all (sitting on like 2mil :p)

think u can hire a driver, never done it before tho. may give it a shot. its a fun game but im either spendin money doin up a car i really like, just to see how awesome i can make it, but ive only done it to like 4 cars and each are spec'd to different classes.

that and whenever i get a decent amount of money, (im talkin 300,000) i buy something shiny like a lambo :D

I think someone here said you need 7 million to buy all of these. That's a lot :(

The marketplace, my friend. Come up with a tuning setup, sell it as 'OMG RACE TUNED!' and rake it in.

Exactly. Either sell tuning setups, decals or paintjobs on the storefront and cash in. People will shell out for anything out there.

all my sweet rides use other peoples decals (even tho i do make them look original) so i cnt sell them and i suck too much to make one someone will pay for. especially as they can see it before they buy.

may try the tuning one, even tho i suck at it. the most i do is lower tyre pressure, lower suspension and point the tops of the wheels inward slightly.

                give anythin a go tho!

You can race these in Quick Race or Multiplayer immediately once you have the DLC, but they are not placed in your garage until you buy them with in game credits.

So you get to do everything with them but paint, tune, and upgrade until you buy them in game.
