Madden NFL Arcade 5v5 Football Coming in December
"Each team is given four downs to march 60 yards to pay dirt - no penalties or field goals allowed here, pal! Get your Madden NFL fix in a completely new way, with fast-paced games where the first team to 30 wins," explains EA, utterly baffling non-football fans.
Local co-op with up to four players is on offer, as well as online play with leaderboards. 13 power-ups bring the opportunity to "add an entourage of lineman to get the sack, freeze an opposing player, turn off your opponent's passing icons, and much more."
Coming from NCAA Football developer EA Tiburon, Madden NFL Arcade is scheduled for a downloadable December release at the price of $15 (1200 Microsoft Points).

I would be happier with just a straight NFL Blitz clone. Maybe I am not remembering blitz all that well, but this seems a bit different than even that.

Blitz was fun, although I haven't tried any of them after the ps1 versions.
They think this will make up for there bad Madden NFL 10 sales. But what would really help is competition. Look at the NBA titles, 2K makes them, and EA actually changes things with Live trying to compete.
But with Madden, they add one crappy mode, get rid of the best mode, and then say hey we did a lot to it, believe us then say, K thx buy plz.
