Star Wars: The Old Republic Voice Acting Doc Reveals Darth Maul's Welsh Heritage

67
The latest dev diary for BioWare's MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic describes the challenges and payoffs of fully voicing all of the game's in-game NPC characters.

Such a massive undertaking requires plenty of voice actors, a dozen dialogue writers, and special voice directors, which hilariously must combine real-world dramatic guidance with the Star Wars lexicon.

Can't wait!!!!! I have faith this game will be pulled off well. Did the main character sound like Snake (David Hayter I believe)?

It was Steve Blum - the guy does a ton of voice work in the anime and video game industries. I suppose most people would recognize him as the voice of Spike from Cowboy Bebop.

I think it would almost be easier to make a list of anime and games he has not voiced. He's a very busy fellow!

No, 'people' would not recognize Blum as the voice of Spike. Only barbaric monsters that watched the show dubbed would recognize that. People, on the other hand, would readily recognize Kôichi Yamadera as the voice of Spike, and also recognize that he is a true god of anime voice acting.
