LittleBigPlanet Meets Ghostbusters, Looks Scared

6
Sparking cries of "who ya gonna call," "we're ready to believe you," and "bustin' makes me feel good," LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule has been teasing the addition of Ghostbusters-themed goods to its PlayStation 3 platformer.

The latest tease, viewable left, sees LittleBigPlanet's iconic Sackboy crossed with the timeless Ghostbusters logo. The developer has remained mum about what's coming and when, but at the very least, it seems we'll be getting some Ghostbusters costumes.

Cross your fingers, but not the streams, for a proton pack weapon and some new levels.

Do they really need to make new levels or why not just secure the ability for users to make custom levels without the fear of them getting deleted for copyright infringement?

Dys, I'm trying to follow you here. Users can create customs levels, the tools are built into the game.

Are community levels being deleted for infringement? I've not seen any word on this and I check the forums now and again.

User levels are very gimmicky, not as much thought put into them as a full time dev can, obviously, but there are some good ones out there. Just not quite as good as developer levels up to this point.

I was pretty sure that for a while there if you made a level that was pretty obvious reference to some copyrighted work it would be deleted.

For instance someone used the in game sound to make a level that would play a midi (ish) version of sweet child o' mine.

Though it's been a long time since i've fired up Lil Big Planet.

They were actively doing this for the first six months it came out, and sadly these were some of the best community levels too. I haven't played LBP in ages though, so I'm not sure if this is still going on or not.
