2K 'Huge' Steam Pack Bundles 20 Games for $54

Now this is a deal. 2K Games just launched its Huge Game Pack on Steam, bundling 20 of its games--which would normally sell for $229.80 individually--for the total price of $60.

The pack has also been marked down by 10% for a limited time, bringing the cost to $54--a real steal considering the quality of games.

Bundled titles include Civilization III, Civ IV and its expansions, BioShock, X-COMs, Freedom Forces, Railroad Tycoon II and 3, Prey, Sid Meier's Railroads! and Pirates!, and more.

And again Europe gets the short end of the stick.

Though it is bearable.

It costs 53.99 euros which equals to 75.85 dollars.

53.99 dollars is 38.43 euros.

      Some of it are.
      
      In USA you pay 0% VAT for this.
      
      In Europe you pay 20 to 25% VAT for everything you buy and its the seller that have to collect this "fee".
      
      Its also divided between markets. In Sweden you pay 25% VAT for everything but only 12% if its food. If you eat in the place you bought it its 25% VAT, if you take the food home its 12% VAT. Do you get the difference back from McD when using the takeaway? Hell no! They Pocket the money.
      
      If you buy a newspaper, a book or visit the local museum you only pay 6% VAT. Some people have tried to show the likeness of videogames and books/newspapers but so far its a no go.

      Then the US friend would pay the cheaper price, and the European could transfer them the lesser amount.
      
      The gift will attach to the Euro Steam account just fine, only issue being there may be no European content servers with some products (if they weren't offered for sale in those regions), meaning slower downloads from US servers.

      Not really worth it for a UK person, as Steam has sensible UK conversions. $54 is £33, with VAT thats £35 and that is what it is selling for on Steam.
      
      Its only the euro that is shafted.

  EU retail is cheaper than Steam as good as always, although in this case, this €54 megapack is still a good deal, if one wants all of those games.
  
  So far, I've only bought one game via Steam: Titan Quest gold. If the $-€ rate wouldn't be so fucked up on Steam, I'm sure I'd buy a lot more there.
