There were a few things I liked about it and a few things I didn't like. The way I'd break it down is Clear Sky feels more linear, which in my opinion is a downside, but at the same time it offers new features such as weapons upgrades and actually being able to find artifacts the way they were meant to be found. Where as Shadow of Chernobyl is much easier to just free roam and do what you want, which, if you get the Oblivion Lost mod, can have a much longer life time than Clear Sky.

It was fun enough until they "locked" you into the storyline, then it was like Call of Duty with 2% of the budget. It was much less about mystery and discovery and much more about conflict.
There was tons of potential, especially in the faction system, but it was mostly unrealized. Sadly, I'll probably get this new one too :)
