Get Creative With The Sims 3 Movie Maker

A new Sims 3 trailer from EA shows the game's surprisingly powerful movie editor, and an example movie by Sims staffers who apparently have issues with their neighbours.

After capturing clips of your sims, enter them in a timeline to rearrange them, add transitions, effects and a soundtrack before publishing your movie to the Sims website.

Considering the horrors wrought in the Spore Creature Creator, we eagerly await the terrifying home movies sure to be made when The Sims 3 is released June 2 on PC.

I love in-game video editors ( http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C9D3A555652659B8 ) but this one seems to be browser-based which spells horrific to me. My guess is you won't be able to download it, thus restricting hosting options to the official website.

Also, that song she played sounded an awful lot like a sped up version of "Nite Owl" from SimCity 4, just like how one of the anthems in Spore Civ sounds a lot like "Gritty City" from the same game.

  Oh wait, it's not sped up at all, it's the original. All SC4 music rocks so it's fine.
