Dead Space Coming to Wii
The CEO was mum on the details, but noted that the title should retain the so-called fear factor of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions that arrived in the fall of 2008.

I clearly don't know the Wii audience, as I would never have thought this would sell. Apparently EA know better?

Before I ramble, this game is heavily influenced by Resident Evil 4, which on the Wii was the best version period. It sold almost 1.8 million units for Capcom. Look at games like Super Smash Bro, which target a younger core gamer -- definitely not me -- that odd game sold over 8 million units. Anyways, that right there says there's a market and it's still growing.
I really have to scratch my head about some of you guys, because the people I know with Wiis are like me; Long time PC and console gamers with a wide variety of tastes in gaming. We're not young, we don't live with our parents and we can definitely afford the latest HD sets and we already have several.
There's 46 million Wiis out there and they are not all casual or new gamers. The fact that some publishers believe that crap -- like UbiSoft -- is insane and in the long run really stupid. Until today, that's how I viewed EA. But it looks like they spit out their stupid pill. Maybe it was the fact that their core games like Madden sold better when they weren't labeled casual.
Games like Dead Space are natural fit for the Wii on so many levels. I'm adding this to my Wii collection day one, unless it says Dead Space All Play, then I'd have to kill someone at EA.
