Tabula Rasa Now Entirely Free-to-Play
Former players can reactivate their accounts by logging in at PlayNC, while new players will need to first create a PlayNC account and then request a serial code through the Support page. The 2.92 GB game client can be found at FileShack.
"You'll need to activate your new account with a credit card number, but don't worry--that's just so we know who you are," explained developer NCsoft on the game's official site. "We will not charge your card for Tabula Rasa gameplay."
Along with being free, the formerly subscription-based MMO has recently seen several new content additions, including Earth, PvP Wargames, and Epic Caves of Donn.

Cool of them to do this, I might try it again. I did with Auto Assault, there was precisely no one in there. :/

I played the beta and thought it was a fun game but the monthly subscription rate was too high. At the time I think it was more than WoW. So although it was a fun game the price to value ratio just wasn't right for me. I also felt (as an FPS guy who switched to MMO) that the MMOFPS that I was hoping for never materialized. The FPS aspects of accuracy contributing to damage and hit ratio was muted to the point where it was just another MMORPG. It got boring just equipping the shotgun and running through the same exact cave over and over again, fighting for resources. I do miss the dropships coming in and adding some excitement. So I sit, still waiting for that MMOFPS that's compelling enough for me to add to my already stressed monthly budget.
