Star Wars: Force Unleashed DLC Now Available, Brings New Mission and Characters
The Jedi Temple Mission Pack, priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), brings Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice to Coruscant and the ruins of its Jedi Temple as our action game protagonist searches for more information on his father.
The Mission Pack includes a number of new costumes, such as Temple Exploration Gear, Cybernetic Reconstruction Apprentice, Sith Training Gear, Mace Windu, Darth Maul, Qui-Gon Jinn, Dark Stalker, Lightsaber Training Droid and Combat Training Droid.
A separate 400 Microsoft Point ($5) Character Pack adds a variety of new player skins, including Republic Trooper, Tatooine Luke, Ben Kenobi, Jedi Master Plo Koon, Count Dooku, Jango Fett, and C-3PO along with three new costumes: Utility Combat Suit Apprentice, Animated-style Apprentice, and Spirit Apprentice.
LucasArts has not stated when the PlayStation 3 DLC will hit, though there's a good chance it could arrive as part of the PlayStation Store update due later today.
Update: LucasArts has announced that the PlayStation 3 DLC is now available, though it has yet to appear in the PlayStation Store.

I dislike that content is now being held back from games, so they can make a full, complete game $10 more in the long run. I don't fall for the trap, but it's a silly business. Perhaps some of these devs may realize that their games will get better reviews (and thus more sales) if they pack more content in.

When a patch comes out less than a week after the game's been released(and many coming out BEFORE the game has even hit the shelves) it tells me that the game testing and QA wasn't very strenuous. Certainly not as strenuous as it would've been if they didn't have the ablity to correct it after the fact.
My point was that patches used to be considered a necessary evil for pc gamers because of their platform's varying configurations. Consoles being standardized shouldn't have a need for as many patches and yet we're seeing just as many patches for console games as we see for pc games.
