Fresh off the official announcement of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf for PS3 and Xbox 360, developer CD Projekt RED and publisher Atari have released the first media.

Billed as the "ultimate console RPG," the console editions of the once PC-only fantasy RPG have been "completely rebuilt pixel by pixel," complete with a new engine and a more action-centric combat system. The console adaptations arrive in fall 2009.

This game was meant for a controller, should play great.

I use this http://www.switchbladegaming.com/ on the PC lets me use the 360 controller works much better, plus I can sit far away from my screen too.

"complete with a sport a new engine and new combat system"

But crap I just baught the HD enhanced version for PC I hope it will not be better than it, plus if its is better will it be on the PC or is this the old game just re built for the 360 and ps3?

I have to assume you two are joking about the controls - the game plays naturally and feels great with a Keyboard/Mouse combo - have fun managing your inventories with a gamepad. Ugh!

Ya you said it, until it start flowing after the inital comobs it feels real stiff. Its a hard core combo like combat system, it flows much better on a controller.

I agree with managing the rest though, still if you map it right it works real well.

how would this work better on a controller? all you're doing is clicking your mouse button everytime
the orange comes up. if thats easier on the controller, then i am thoroughly confused.

it played fine on the keyboard / mouse.

i rememebr there were at least a couple different control/camera schemes and none of them felt right

the chase view worked perfectly for me. the only times it didn't feel comfortable was in enclosed spaces and the camera is on top of geralt. to each their own i guess.

You're referring to camera schemes though - the control felt cool once you understood it and worked perfectly on the mouse/keyboard. I'd agree that the camera angles were none too perfect but that's not the same thing as "control" - I suspect a lot of people posting in here about this are referring to that, not the controls, though they may think otherwise.
