Retailers List Spore Expansion Pack

Retail entries for the first Spore expansion pack, reportedly entitled the "Cute & Creepy Parts Pack," appeared on online retailers including GameStop and Amazon, only to be quickly taken down.

Fan site Hooked on Spore, pointing to Google caches of GameStop and Amazon pages, noticed that both retailers listed the product as releasing on November 18, while GameStop pegged the game at a $19.99 price point as well.

Listings by retailers change often and are not a guarantee of release dates or prices, though when multiple retailers offer the same information simultaneously it suggests a central source, likely the game's publisher.

it seems that EA is going to do it The Sims way. sell them an expansion pack with 2 more parts for 20 bucks.

  This is a gross generalization. The Sims 2 expansion packs each add a major gameplay feature or mechanic change in addition to new items and furniture, as well as new clothes, building options, and minor graphical tweaks.

    Yeah... the Sims expansion packs are big and good. The Sims stuff packs are a waste. This sounds like more of a stuff pack.

      My little sister doesn't bother with them for this reason, she only gets the expansions.

    No, they made it pretty clear they were going to hit Spore up like this in the months prior to release. I just didn't expect it so... quickly.

  I'd rather have some adjustments made and features added to the Tribal and Civ and Space stages than a couple of cute parts for the Creature Creator...
