Play Crysis Wars for Free Next Weekend
Registration begins Monday, October 6 at MyCrysis.com and will provide users with a unique registration key. Though online play will only be available from October 10-12, players will be able to experience Crysis Wars via LAN across the week of October 6.
"We have been extremely pleased with the reception we have received from gamers and press for Crysis Warhead," said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli.
Team Fortress 2 developer Valve has repeatedly noted the sales boosts that free weekends can bring for multiplayer-focused titles such as Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat: Source.
Yerli added: "Crysis Wars is definitely a big reason for this success and something we are dedicated to, not only as a part of future Crysis titles, but in terms of releasing new modes and continued support for our growing community."
Check below for a listing of Crysis Wars' contents:
- Three diverse multiplayer modes including InstantAction, TeamInstantAction and PowerStruggle
- 21 maps ranging from large battlefields to smaller, more intimate battlegrounds with a diverse array of settings ranging from beaches to graveyards

With everything that has gone badly for the relationship between Crytek and gamers, this story (and Cevat's comments) make me feel really good about PC gaming. Warhead is a fantastic game, and Crysis Wars is tremendous fun from what I've heard, so I'm glad Crytek has gotten good press and good sales so far, and it looks like they're going the extra mile with this Steam-esque FREE WEEKEND!
I wish tremendous sales figures on Warhead.-
Absolutely agree with you MercFox1! I am a massive Crysis fan and have actually double purchased both Crysis and Crysis Warhead. I am so determined for the PC to take back the gaming crown from the consoles. Now I hope they will make Crysis 2 a PC exclusive. More power to Cevat and here's to Crysis Warhead selling a shitload!!
To all my fellow PC brothers!! Try out Stalker Clear Sky too. The latest 1.505 patch has done wonders for the performance. A bit like how the original Stalker was patched brilliantly and performs well on lower end hardware. :)
