Guitar Hero World Tour Screenshots Include Implements of Rock

A whole bevy of screenshots for the latest Guitar Hero rock-a-thon, World Tour, have been made available. Included are shots from the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii editions, as well as the game's new hardware, including the series' first drums and microphone.

Screenshots from the Xbox 360 version are pictured above. Also available are PlayStation 3 screenshots with hardware and Wii screenshots with hardware.

The game, with its "new instrument" recently outed, ships in North America on October 26. The Xbox 360 and PS3 releases were developed by Neversoft while Vicarious Visions handled the Wii version.

What is the purple line on the fretboard in that first screenshot?

    Oh sorry I meant the wavy purple line on the guitar fretboard, not the straight line they use to show kick pedal.

    I don't think so, the HO/PO notes have a bright glow around them (and none of the notes in this picture are glowing).

  I think I know - they mentioned the GH4 guitar is going to have a touch-sensitive 'slider' bar in the middle of the neck. I think that wavy line is saying instead of hitting individual notes with hammer-ons, you can slide your finger back and forth on the bar to approximate the same behavior.
