Guitar Hero World Tour Adding Another Instrument

5
In addition to guitar, drums and a microphone, it seems that Neversoft's Guitar Hero World Tour will be adding yet another instrument to the mix when it hits this fall.

Neversoft director Brain Bright reportedly told G4 that another peripheral is on the way, one that will only be used in the game's music creation mode.

No other details are currently available, with the outlet speculating that the new device is a keyboard. Neversoft previously revealed that players can use the guitar controller to map out keyboard notes and drum machine programming in the editor, which also allows players to share their tunes online.

Guitar Hero World Tour is in development for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, with Neversoft on the PS3 and 360 versions, Vicarious Visions handling the Wii edition and Budcat on the PS2 release.

Damn this sounded pretty exciting until the "music creation mode only" part. Having some more variety in music games would have been hot.

Yah, a keyboard would be awesome, but you'd actually have to learn how to keyboard to do it.

I thought about this and I think it could be fun to have a simple keyboard with much less keys than a regular one. Basically you'd press the same button to produce different sounds like you do on the GH guitar.

I am a keyboard player, I am OK with this requirement

I really think it could very well be a Keyboard. Can't really think of what else it could be.
