EA to Sell Crysis-ready Computers

39
Publisher Electronic Arts is planning to sell a line of PCs that will be branded and marketed as machines that can handle Crytek's beefy PC shooter Crysis.

The computers will come in several configurations, and will be released alongside Crytek's upcoming stand-alone expansion Crysis Warhead, according to some blogger.

While Crytek has mainly blamed Crysis' modest sales on PC piracy, many have pointed to the game's demanding system requirements as another culprit. Crytek has been working to optimize the engine and increase framerates for the Warhead expansion.

Crysis Warhead is scheduled for a September release.

LOL! I predict minimal sales and a bit of a flop with this idea. They would be better served worknig with Dell or HP to brand/sell something.

Who would want an Alienware branded computer? Or a Falcon branded computer... it really doesn't matter...

People with lots of money who don't want to take a few hours of their time to look at performance benchmarks, choose the components themselves, build it all together themselves, and then hope it'll run.

No there is a clear difference in my mind.

Alienware / Falcon = building pcs for years. Expensive but probably will work.

EA = failing at everything since the turn of the century. Going by the way their digital download service operates you'll probably have to fax them a thumbprint and an agreement for the handover of your left nut to get a second copy of a driver cd.

But at least some clueless fuck @ EA can claim he tried... it's simply astonishing to see how fuckin' clueless these people are.

When Dell and HP start packing actual graphics cards (instead of integrated crap or 8500GT's...) into $600-800 PC's, we'll start talking...
