Dead Rising Heading to Wii

While publisher Capcom was silent regarding its zombie-killing mall-exploring Dead Rising series at today's E3 press conference, Japanese publication Famitsu has revealed that the formerly Xbox 360-only franchise is heading to Wii.
The original Xbox 360 version of Dead Rising

The Wii edition of Dead Rising is apparently a port of the Xbox 360 release, with added motion controls and a new Resident Evil 4-esque behind the shoulder camera perspective. Going by NeoGAF translations, the port came about after the Wii port of Resident Evil 4 sold well, and will feature some new content.

While some may be concerned that the Wii is not able to render the massive horde of on-screen zombies that defined the Xbox 360 title, Capcom is attempting to retain as much of the original's look and feel as possible.

Released on Xbox 360 in the summer of 2006, Dead Rising garnered critical acclaim for its use of common mall objects--such as mannequins and hockey sticks--as combat items for staving off the undead, but was chastised for an unforgiving save system.

So this is when a bunch of people start complaining about the perfectly fine save system in Dead Rising.

Or complaining of being tired after killing 60k or so zombies to unlock the mega blaster

Wasn't tiring to me. I just drove around in the underground parking lot for a while, flattening zombies.
