After SCEA CEO Jack Tretton announced the game, a trailer was shown, highlighting battle-torn cities and protagonist Kratos promising that "in the end, there will be chaos."
As for a release date, Tretton only noted that God of War III would not arrive this holiday season.

Okay, first of all, I very much doubt it was in-game footage since Sony and their partners are known to make early CGI trailers to show the approximate level of graphics they're striving for, but EVEN if it is in-game, it wasn't mindblowing as I expected.
Second of all, nevermind the above, where is the gameplay? That's the only game and the only part of the conference I was eagerly waiting for and all I get is a stupid 1 minute trailer of Kratos standing on top of some dilapidated building?
That just made it the worst conference ever, nothing worthwhile before it, and nothing worthwhile after, just like MS & Nintendo.

Killzone 2 now actually looks like the CGI they showed back in E3 that people made a stink about
But nowhere do they hint or even say that this stuff is ingame for God of War 3, its just a CGI trailer-

not sure about gameplay though....it looks great and may be the best looking ps3 game when it comes out but how does it play

Not quite, this was clearly a CG trailer, whereas Killzone was attempting to show off what they thought they could pull off in-game.
