New StarCraft 2 Screenshots Have Color, Character
Developer Blizzard has released a handful of new screenshots from its sci-fi RTS sequel StarCraft 2 (PC), showing off more of the game's environments and characters.
No release estimate has been announced for StarCraft 2, with executive VP Rob Pardo recently reaffirming Blizzard's motto of shipping games when they're done.

I agree. This is Starcraft, not WoW. That art style has as place in WoW (even though I hate it, I prefer something a little more gritty and real), but I hate to see it being used in Starcraft. Blizzard has always had poor art direction.

What their games lack technically, they make up for artistically.

Well yes, they are rather bright. Even Blizzard themselves have said they are working on toning down some of Starcraft 2's brighter colors - and that it'll be ongoing up until release.
Anyway, that aside, look at screenshot 2 and 3. Not overly bright at all and somewhat in contrast to the other screenshots. Probably meant as such as well; it'll be interesting to see the game in its entirety once it's released. -
