Game music concert series Video Games Live has expanded its current tour with 50 new concerts around the world, and will make debut appearances in France, China, and several other countries.

In addition to a number of new venues worldwide, the expanded concert lineup will bring Video Games Live to several of this year's upcoming conventions including San Diego Comic-Con, the Leipzig Games Convention and the 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitational. A complete list of upcoming concerts can be found at the Video Games Live website.

Created in 2002 by veteran gaming composers Tommy Tallarico (Earthworm Jim, Advent Rising) and Jack Wall (Mass Effect, Myst), the Video Games Live tour features classic and contemporary game music arranged and presented by a symphony orchestra.

The tour has previously performed music from an eclectic range of franchises and titles such as Final Fantasy, Mario, BioShock, God of War and numerous others.

    Well fuck. :(
They are coming to France where I live, which is uber cool, but they are tied to the Blizzard Invitationnal, which is.. sold out. Which isn't so cool. So: fuck. :(
(Quite unusual to announce a date for a show that is sold out even before it is announced.)

Last time I talked to them back in February they were trying to book a lot of dates around the world. It's possible that the concert in France was already booked long ago,
