Devil May Cry 4 PC Arrives This Summer with Extras

13
The PC edition of Capcom's slash-em-up Devil May Cry 4 will hit at an unspecified date this summer, the company has announced. A demo of the PC version will be released in advance of the title's retail debut, and will feature a system benchmark mode.

Based on the previously-released Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions, the PC iteration of Devil May Cry 4 includes additional gameplay modes--the fast-paced Turbo Mode and the screen-filling enemies population of Legendary Dark Knight Mode--along with revised enemy placement.

Capcom also specified that the cinematics of the DirectX 9 and DirectX 10-compatible title will now run at up to 120 frames per seconds instead of the 30 frames per second limit of the console versions.

Also coming with the standard Capcom port: massive configuration issues, horrid controls and a gimp in the box that comes with the instructions "Beat me for support."

      What are you talking about?

It’s funny that what you have described above does not relate to my PC version of Lost Planet at all.

I actually sold my 360 version for the PC version.

All the prior Resident Evil's were pretty shitty....

They should port Mega Man 2.

Yes thats true but what did you expect?

All past games where complete ports of old tech (PS2 GC). They were 100% emulated there was nothing extras added other than the upgraded resolution.

Anything else would have meant a new game there was not much to work with.
I don’t see the fault in Capcom for doing this? Of course we all would of loved high rez textures, higher models, and shadders (for RE4, RE3, etc) but they were all straight ports.

Anyone who thinks that the DMC 4 PC port is crap and Capcom sucks does not have their facts and is talking out of there sphincter. DMC4 uses the same engine (Caps MT eng) that Lost Planet uses which is a modern scalable game engine tailored for multi core cpu and gpu set ups. The platform was designed for PC, 360, and PS3 and can be configured to take advantage of each of the different environments.

            A working game, for one.

See all 3D PC ports prior to that, from "Resident Evil 4" back to "Mega Man Legends."

Resident Evil 4 turned out really well after a patch or two.

There still was no mouse control, which should have been there from the start (without user patches)

That’s just my point, LP's game engine is what DMC4 is made from.

Opps looks like someone made a boo boo...

Why are you taking this thread so personally, Mr. Seriouspants?
