Weekly Rock Band DLC: More Garbage, STP, Weezer

4
Announced today on Harmonix's forums, this week's roundup of downloadable content for Rock Band (PS2, PS3, X360) includes some familiar faces packing new tunes for would-be living room legends.

The trio of new songs are master recordings of "Sex Type Thing" by the Stone Temple Pilots, "El Scorcho" by Weezer, and "Why Do You Love Me" by Garbage. All three songs were listed on last week's leaked Rock Band DLC list, lending some credence to the list's validity. A Harmonix representative did not dispute the list, stating only that it was "unconfirmed and subject to change."

The songs will hit consoles on Tuesday from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 160 Microsoft points ($2) per download, or for $1.99 via the PlayStation Store. Unlike last week's punk pack, this latest update will not be available in bundle form. The downloadable content, as you may expect, will not be available for the PS2 version of Rock Band.

"I am so psyched about El Scorcho," said Shacknews staffer Chris Faylor, speaking from this week's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. He added, "Jesus Christ."
