Gory MMO Requiem: Bloodymare Coming Stateside

Gravity Corp's Havok-powered MMO Reqiuem: Bloodymare (PC) will be unleashed onto an unsuspecting United States early this year, the Korea-based MMO company has announced.

Said to feature "horribly mutated monsters," battles "rendered with intense sequences of bloody and gory graphics," and powerful beasts that "terrorize the world" during its night cycle, Gravity is pushing the title as an MMO for mature audiences.

Best known as the creator of Ragnarok Online (PC), Gravity recently announced that it expected to lose its $9 million investment in fellow MMO company Perpetual Entertainment due to Pertpetual's liquidation.

"We've dedicated more than four years of intense development to be sure Requiem: Bloodymare really brings something unique in the MMO market," explained US subsidiary CEO Peter Kang. "Requiem isn't a game for kids; this is for mature players that are looking for hardcore content that conjures up their deepest nightmares and fears."

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Targeting mature players with an MMO? Sounds like a great plan!

Gratuitous violence, gore, swearing, and sex do not make a game mature. This is just another Korean grind fest with and M rating. Move along, nothing to see here.
