Wonderworld Amusement Park Announced for Wii, Coming From Vietnam War Game Developer

Operation: Vietnam (NDS) developer Coyote Console is hoping to go to a happier place with its next project.

Titled Wonderworld Amusement Park, the Wii-exclusive title is said to emulate actual carnival activities across more than 30 mini-games. By monopolizing on their winnings, players can buy new outfits and accessories for their in-game avatars, which they can then show off to three other players in the game's multiplayer component.

In the announcement, publisher Majesco pointed out that the 3D theme park will also feature playable rides. Much like Disneyland, the park itself is segmented into themed areas--five of them, to be exact.

"In summertime, nothing is more synonymous with family fun than a day at an amusement park," said Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton. "Only the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers let us reproduce the real life thrill of these games and rides from the comfort of the living room."
