An upcoming Xbox Live Marketplace download will add two-person split-screen multiplayer to the Xbox 360 edition of Triumph Studio's twisted action-strategy hybrid Overlord. Once the free update hits, players will be able to duke it out across any of the multiplayer maps that were previously reserved for Xbox Live play.
In the same announcement, publisher Codemasters detailed its lineup for the Leipzig Games Convention, which includes the playable debuts of Spark Unlimited's alternate history first person shoots Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (PC, PS3, X360), MercurySteam's spooky FPS Clive Barker's Jericho (PC, PS3, X360), the PlayStation 3 edition of Codemasters' racer DiRT (PC, X360), the recently announced Book 10 of Turbine's The Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Angmar (PC) and the new Overlord split-screen functionality. Based in the far-off land of Leipzig, Germany, the event runs from August 23 to 26.
