Ubisoft Tiwak's Beowulf will present a period of 30 years in the fabled thane's life, a span of time not shown in the movie. Players will gather an army of up to 12 thanes, who can be given various commands in order to assist in the third-person combat. In addition to your character's growth, this squad of AI-controlled helpers will be upgraded throughout the course of the game with new weapons, skills, and abilities.
Developers at Ubisoft Tiwak were responsible for the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (X360). The team is using the same Advanced Warfighter graphics engine--dubbed YETI--on the Beowulf project.
