BlizzCon 2007 Detailed

37
Blizzard has just revealed the details on this year's BlizzCon event, set for August 3 and 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Described as "a celebration of the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises and the players who have helped make them so popular around the world," BlizzCon 2007 features numerous attractions for fans of Blizzard's work, including discussion panels with Blizzard developers, artist and developer signings, tournaments, and costume and character sound-alike contests.

Many also expect Blizzard to unveil details on either StarCraft II or Diablo III at the event, both of which are essentially known to be in development.

"We were gratified by the response to our first BlizzCon in 2005 and have been looking for an opportunity to hold a follow-up event ever since," noted Blizzard president and co-founder Mike Morhaime. "With BlizzCon 2007, we plan to deliver another entertaining and informative experience for the attendees, and we look forward to meeting all of them again this year."

Interestingly, the timing of BlizzCon 2007 directly conflicts with this year's QuakeCon, which was announced late last year. QuakeCon will run from August 2-5, 2007 in Dallas, Texas.

Tickets for BlizzCon 2007 are priced at $100, $20 lower than those of 2005's BlizzCon, and will be available for purchase within the next few months.

you'll just get addicted to D3 instead and then when you get bored of it you'll go back to WoW.
