Comforting frequent gamer fears that Blizzard has abandoned its realtime strategy franchise in the wake of the staggeringly successful World of Warcraft, the company has put up a telling job posting on its official employment site. Blizzard is looking for a level designer "with experience building levels using any popular 3D Real-Time Strategy game toolset," with part of the application process being the submission of a fairly complex trigger-based map, for applicants familiar with building Warcraft III levels. The game in question is almost certainly Warcraft IV or the long awaited Starcraft 2, neither of which Blizzard has ever mentioned in any official capacity. Given the high number of existing Warcraft games and the continued demand for Starcraft, the latter seems like a good bet.
