I've already played around with the chopper a bit. It is still very effective, but AA sites need to be the #1 priority to take out and you need to fly low and fast if you want to stay alive. The range reduction on the missle adds a bit more difficulty to taking out distant targets, you pretty much have to get down and dirty.
Ill play more later to effectively judge the change. Im just glad they change jets which IMO were the only MAJOR REAL problem.-

Apparently you haven't seen Deevee use them. You could pretty much fire them in a standoff far away at a carrier. You could rape their attack/transport choppers and jets from taking off. I do agree that the art of the long range shot was a skilled move and should of been kept in the game. Its just that the really good gunners could land a long range shot 75% of the time on a moving target far away.

A lot of the people who have problems using the TV missiles are trying too hard, I think. I used to suck with them, but then I stopped clicking too much and I got 100x better. One click to fire in the general direction of your target, one click when it's 90% of the way there to make any necessary correction. Works very well.
I do think they needed to reduce the range to keep people from spamming missiles from all the way across the map, but they didn't need to reduce it this much, iirc.-
Hmm..well imho they didn't even need to add the stupid TV missile in the first place. Helos are already really tough enough, they use 3D airspace and move faster than ground vehicles except perhaps the dune buggy; adding the TV missile to the fire and forget missiles that the pilot has alongside of the chaingun was overkill in the first place. Glad it's been tweaked.. :)
