You'd think that the people that still play Everquest 1 would be sick of Sony releasing new expansions by now and would stop buying them. I think this is the 12th expansion pack for the game, does Sony even release any patches for the game that add dungeons (like Blizzard does with WoW)?

It's a model that works... for people that have played it since the beginning... what about people who might want to start playing the game, or left a long time ago and would like to come back?
Should I really go out and buy the game plus 12 expansions?
$50 game + 12 x $30 Expensions = $410... yeah, no thanks.-
The base game hasn't been $50 in many, many years. They repeatedly ship it with all but the most recent one or two expansions (i.e. Everquest Evolution, etc.), usually for a $20-$30 price point with a month free.
Next week, they start shipping the "titanium edition" that contains the the base game, the first 10 expansions, and a free month. Price? $20. Even if you paid $30 for the last two expansion (which you wouldn't - I think they go for $20 most places, now), you would pay $80 total. Not $410.
