Less than a year after the game was announced, LucasArts today sent out a statement saying Sam & Max: Freelance Police has been cancelled. According to Mike Nelson, VP of Finance and Operations, LucasArts evaluated the current game market and "decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC".
